In ECD’s workshop, materials are brought together and combined under the direction of the artist himself. Jewellery, bags and fashion accessories are born out of the creative interaction of his knowledge and his passion: feathercraft. For Eric Charles-Donatien, it all comes down to uniting feathers, leather and metal and transforming them into something new. He bends them to his will, understanding and respecting their different natures, and creates new textures which are seen on fashion runways around the world. Even years later, they remain objects of fascination.
